Sophia Gutchinov is an award-winning multi-ethnic multidisciplinary artist, actress, performance artist, comedian, model, and voice over artist based in New York City.
Currently, she is developing her one woman show at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club! She was an artist in residence here in 2021-2022.
She just completed an artistic residency in Sicily, Italy this summer and performed in the Trinacria Arts Festival! She also completed a fieldwork fellowship in Mongolia for the American Center for Mongolian Studies about biodiversity, regarding the only wild horse left in the world!
She loves creating through collaboration. She creates art that sparks a conversation, has a message, and makes you laugh. Sophia also makes art for social change and healing. She graduated in the top 10 of her class at Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Acting and minor in Neuroscience. Sophia brings her spontaneous, dedicated, and adventurous personality to her art.
She advocates for racial equality and gave a speech in front of NY senators, featured on NBC Channel 4 NY, demanding change for the AAPI community. Click here to watch.

Her mixed media collage won the 1st Salamander International Art Award in Paris, France at the Monteoliveto Gallery and is currently in the “Dream” exhibit in Naples, Italy for sale. Her art has been exhibited at various galleries, theatre spaces, and nightclubs in NYC.
Sophia also has made various performance art pieces that have to do with our democracy, the Statue of Liberty, racial equality, and being a woman.
She regularly teaches webinars about the business of acting with Latitude Talent Studios. She has been interviewed in Backstage (print and digital) and Casting Networks, giving advice for aspiring actors and on her acting career.
